Plate Burning

Spooltech offers plate burning, a process used to cut steel and aluminum to a specific desired shape by utilizing a plasma torch to create an electrical arc to heats the metal to its melting point. The CNC powered machine is controlled by a program prepared on site from a customer supplied blueprint. Other operations that can be performed with the plate burning machine are scribing items including part numbers, centerlines, bend lines, and center marks.
